Author and Publisher Bio

Rick Speight is a native of Vienna, Virginia and a graduate of James Madison High School in Vienna, VA, George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, as well as The University of Texas at Austin.

He self-published his first book, The Boys From Hicks Drive Vienna, Virginia, in 2018. It’s a collection of tales and adventures experienced while growing up in the suburbs of Washington, DC during the 1960s and 70s.

Deadly Summer Secrets again draws on youthful innocence in northern Virginia, but that’s where the similarities end, for this work is a fictional presentation of ruthlessness and political intrigue.

Rick lives with his wife, Karen, on the Gulf Coast in beautiful Fairhope, Alabama. He invites you to visit him at:

editor

Ange Baker-Washington, DC

Ange began his career as an editor in 2014, and was the guiding force that helped launch The Boys from Hicks Drive in 2018. He accomplished that by taking a creative, but fundamentally flawed, narrative and molding it into a solid foundation enjoyed by readers in 4 countries worldwide, and 15 states in the USA.

He provides comprehensive revision strategies to help guide an author's first draft to the final product, and solely deals with creative writing craft--notably, Fiction and Creative Non-Fiction authors. As a Developmental Editor, Ange focuses on all areas of plot and character development, as well as a sharp proofreading of writing mechanics. He has an extremely cerebral editing style, taking account all trenchant fundamentals that publications look for when accepting pieces.
